The FAMOUS Historic Chemainus Wall Murals: A visionary in the small town decided to tell the history of the town through gigantic murals painted on the many buildings for all to see. Over 40 murals telling the story of the towns history from WWI, the first telephone operators, First Nation faces, settling the Canadian West, the drama & danger of the mills - it’s all there in gorgeous form, shape and colour. Hikes & Trails:

Kinsol Trestle- Open to public for cycling, hiking, and equestrian riding. One of the tallest free-standing timber rail trestle structures in the world, near Shawnigan Lake http://www.cvrd.bc.ca/1379/Kinsol-Trestle

Heart Lake Loop- Challenging 6.4km takes about 2hrs. Rewards you with Panoramic spectacular views of the town, Gulf Islands and Mt. Baker. Access from Davis Rd Park at the Holland Creek Trail, Ladysmith.
